FAQs
Q: Why can I not see the item I want for sale currently?
A: I add items to my website in 'drops'. This means I can focus on a collection and release it all at once. The next drop date will be in the banner of my website. If an item you wanted sold out then drop me a message and I will let you know if I'm planning on making any more. Ensure you sign up to my mailing list to be notified of any future drops.
Q: Do you take custom orders?
A: I do when I have availability! If you have something in mind, just drop me a message via the contact page and we’ll see what’s possible.
Q: Where are you based?
A: I make everything by hand in my little studio in Oxford, UK.
Q: How are the pieces made?
A: I use the Tiffany stained glass (or copper foil) method—cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering (and often painting!) each piece by hand. It’s a slow process, but worth it for the detail and finish.
Q: How do I hang my sun catcher safely?
A: I recommend using a small hook or nail rather than relying on suction cups, especially for heavier pieces. If you can’t drill into a wall, a command hook can work well too but remember to keep an eye on them as sun/heat can cause them to detach.
Q: How do I clean my piece?
A: Use a soft microfibre cloth to gently polish the surface. Be especially careful if your piece has any painted details on it as this can be scratched/removed with any chemicals or abrasives.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: I ship to the UK (apart from NI), USA and Canada. Please note that it is the buyers responsibility to pay for any import taxes. I cannot ship to Europe. If you are outside of Europe and want a piece I will consider posting. Please get in touch.
Q: How long will it take to receive my order?
A: Ready-made items usually ship within 3–7 working days. If it’s a custom order, I’ll give you a timeline when we chat.
Q:Do you use lead free solder?
A: No, I use 60/40 solder which contains lead. It is perfectly safe to handle and only dangerous if eaten.
Q: Is stained glass safe to handle?
A: Yes. I do use lead based solder but lead is only able to enter your system if it is ingested so keep out of hands of little ones and pets! Wash hands after handling to be safe.
